FAQ

How do I get admission to the Library?
You need a library card in the form of student ID, staff ID or outside user’s ID.
Who can become a member of the Library?
Should be a member of the University college community, either a student or staff of the University College. Members of the South Eastern Kenya University(SEKU) alumni are accepted. Others must seek permission from the Principal
What should I do if I’ve lost my student/staff ID card
Loss of students/ staff ID or readers tickets should be reported immediately to the librarian who will take appropriate measures.
What must I do when library material is damaged or lost?
Pay replacement cost or replace with the same material.
How do I renew an item
Renewal is done at the issue desk and one must come with the borrowed item and the due date will be extended
Can I renew more than once?
Renewals can only be done once after which the item should be returned back.
How do I reserve an item?
Reservation is done from the issue desk.
What if I overstay with a borrowed item?
A fine will be charged for every library material returned after the due date
What are the overdue fines?
5 /- per day for normal loans short loan and 5/- per hour for reserve material
How do I extend/ renew the loan period of Library material?
Present the material and your ID to the library staff at issue desk
How do I return Library materials?
To the issue desk for discharging
