The department of Business and Entrepreneurship is one of the departments in the school of business and Economics. It is charged with teaching and research responsibilities in line with the university core mandate of teaching and research. The department offers specialised training in:
(i)Bachelor of commerce.
Entry requirements
KCSE mean grade C+ (plus) OR equivalent with at least C+ (plus) in mathematics and English OR KCSE mean grade C (plain) OR equivalent and a diploma with a credit pass or above OR CPA/CPS part II from the institution recorgnised by South Eastern Kenya University(SEKU)
(ii)Bachelor of Economics
Requirements
KCSE mean grade C+ (plus) or equivalent with at least C+ (plus) or equivalent grade in mathematics.
(iii)Bachelor of Economics and Statistics
Requirements
KCSE mean grade C+ (plus) OR equivalent qualifications with at least C+ (plus) or equivalent grade in mathematics.
(iv) KENYA ACCOUNTANTS AND SECRETARIES EXAMINATION BOARD
a) CPA section 1-6
Entry Requirements
KCSE C+ with minimum grade C+ in both English and Mathematics. Any other KASNEB technician examination certificate or such other certificates or diplomas as may be approved by KASNEB.
b) CPS section 1-6
Entry Requirements
KCSE C+ with minimum grade C+ in both English and Mathematics. Any other KASNEB technician examination certificate or such other certificates or diplomas as may be approved by KASNEB.
c) ATC level 1 and II
Entry requirements
KCSE mean grade D+. Any other KASNEB technician examination certificate or such other certificates or diplomas as may be approved by KASNEB.
