Entry Requirements

Course Duration

• B.Sc. Actuarial Science
• B.Sc. Statistics
• B.Sc. Mathematics

KCSE (Mean Grade C+) or its equivalent, (B.Sc. Statistics, B.Sc. Mathematics, B.Sc., Actuarial Science require B-, C+ and B in Mathematics respectively OR Higher National Diploma in Science courses. Education (Science), Computer studies, Statistics or Applied Sciences OR a Degree from a recognized University

Minimum 8 Semesters

• Bridging Course in Mathematics
• Bridging Course in Physics

KCSE Mean Grade C+ (Plus) or an equivalent qualification with at least C- (Minus) in Physics/Mathematics

Minimum 14 weeks

SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Holders of at least an upper second class honors degree or an equivalent in non-classified degrees

OR Holders of lower second class with at least two years work experience, OR a pass degree with at least five years of work experience, and/or having relevant professional qualifications

Minimum 4 Semesters

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)

Bachelor of Procurement and Supply Chain Management

Holders of KCSE certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ and a minimum of C in both Mathematics and English/Kiswahili.

OR Holders of KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes and a minimum of a credit (6) pass in Mathematics at KCE

OR Holders of a degree from a recognized University

OR Holders of a CPA/CPS part II or a relevant diploma from an institution recognized by Senate and must have obtained KCSE minimum grade C (plain) OR Holders of KCSE mean grade C- (Minus) or equivalent with a diploma and Certificate from an institution recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate.

SCHOOL OF ARICULTURE AND VETERINARY SCIENCES

MASTER OF Science in Agricultural Resource Management

Holders of a B.Sc. with at least upper Second Class Honors or equivalent in Agricultural Science, Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, forestry or other relevant disciplines from the University of Nairobi or any other recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate OR Lower Second Class Honors in the above with a post graduate diploma or equivalent qualification or with at least two years experience OR with Pass in the above with Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent qualification and at least two years of working experience.

Minimum 4 semesters

Master of Science in Livestock Production Systems

Holders of a Bachelor of Veterinary medicine of B.Sc. with at least Upper Second Class Honors or equivalent in Agriculture, Range Management, Wildlife, Zoology or Agricultural Economics OR Holders of Lower Second Class Honors in the above with at least two years relevant experience OR Holders of a Pass in the above with either a Postgraduate diploma or five years experience.

Minimum 4 Semesters

Master of Science in Agronomy

Holders of B.Sc. with a at least upper second class honors or equivalent in Agriculture, Botany and Zoology, environmental Science, forestry, Education with Botany option or other relevant discipline from the university of Nairobi or any other institution recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate OR holders of Lower Second Class Honors in the above with postgraduate diploma or equivalent qualification or with at least three years working experience OR with a pass in the above with Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent qualification.

SCHOOL OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

Bachelor of Information Technology

KCSE Mean Grade C+, with at least C+ (Plus in Mathematics and Physics

OR

KCSE Mean Grade C (Plain), or equivalent and Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science Studies of any relevant Diploma recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate

Minimum 8 Semesters

Diploma in Information Technology

KCSE Mean Grade C (Plain) and a minimum grade of C- (Minus) in Mathematics and Physics. OR KCE Division II with at least a credit Pass in Mathematics and Physics/Physical Science OR KACE with a subsidiary pass in Mathematics or an equivalent qualification recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate. OR Candidates with a Diploma from an Institution recognized by the Senate.

SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

Bachelor of Education (Arts)

(English and Literature, Kiswahili, History, Christian Religious Education, Geography, Business Studies)

Regular and Institutional Based (School Based)

KCSE mean grade C+ (Plus) OR KACE (2 Principal Passes) OR KCSE Mean Grade C- (Minus) or equivalent with a diploma in addition to a relevant Certificate or equivalent professional qualifications such as diploma in Education, Early Childhood Education, Teachers Certificate (SI) from recognized institutions or their equivalent OR a Trained Primary School Teacher of P1 grade with three minimum years experience and a minimum of KCSE C(Plain) or any other degree from and institution recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate.

SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

Bachelor of Arts in Social Work

KCSE Mean Grade C+ (Plus) or an equivalent OR Holders of KCSE C (Plain) plus a relevant diploma with a credit pass and above OR Holders of KCSE Mean Grade C- (Minus) plus a relevant certificate and a Diploma from an institution recognized by the University of Nairobi.

Minimum 8 Semesters

Diploma in Social Work & Social Development

KCSE Mean Grade C (Plain) or equivalent qualification OR Holders of KCSE C- (Minus) or equivalent with certificate in related discipline from an institution recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate.
