On behalf of the South Eastern Kenya University Council, I take this opportunity to formally extend a welcoming hand to all the prospective students and stakeholders. I wish to express my deepest gratitude to the Government of Kenya for awarding a Charter on 1st March, 2013 by His Excellency Hon. Mwai Kibaki, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-In- Chief of the Defence Forces and the huge financial, material and moral support to sustain its growth.
We are happy to work with the private sector and other stakeholders who have allowed our students to undertake industrial attachment at their organizations and we appeal for continued cooperation because the industrial attachment is an integral part of training at SEKU
SEKU is determined to enhance access to education, the integration of Science, Technology and Innovation into everyday life and produce graduates with knowledge, skills and zeal to confront the development challenges facing the country. We are determined to provide our students with quality education and training for personal growth and professional excellence.
This we intend to achieve by development of new and innovative programmes while continuing to improve on the existing ones. The University Council will do everything possible to enable the university attain Global status and be the newest force to reckon with in research and training in East and Central Africa.
Our Vision is clear and the intentions to succeed are both realistic and achievable. We welcome you to join us in this effort.
