The KUPAA (Kenya Universities Performing Arts Association) organized Fine Art competition and Beauty Pageant. A total of 37 universities participated in the contest and SEKU was one of them. Some of our students were privileged to participate and even win in some of the categories. The students were accompanied by the University’s Music and Drama Patrons.
SEKU won first position in two categories in fine art; Interpretation of theme and Logo painting.
Kiptoo Elvis won first position nationally in visual arts category Interpretation of Theme and Mutinda Eric Maithya won first position nationally in Logo Design. Both of them are students from the School of Science and Computing pursuing Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
Mr Alphonse Lumbasyo, the current Mr. SEKU and Miss Bebina Lusemati, the current Miss SEKU represented the University in the Beauty pageant. Mr. Lumbasyo was nominated by KUPAA to be the representative and spokesperson of all models in Kenya.
