Vision
To be a globally competitive center of excellence in Open, Distance and ELearning.

Mission
To enhance accessibility of quality educational opportunities through innovative and flexible Open, Distance and E-Learning modes of delivery.

Mandate

To establish, develop, implement, organize, manage and oversee all Open, Distance and e-Learning programs in South Eastern Kenya University.

Strategic Goal
To provide alternative opportunities for university education to eligible learners by removing barriers of location and time through flexible approaches that utilize existing and emerging technologies.
