The South Eastern Kenya University has a dynamic TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) Directorate. SEKU TVET Directorate is accredited by the Technical Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA), to offer training in Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) at Diploma and Certificate levels. The directorate offers specialized training with practical, entrepreneurial, and industrial skills which is integrated with knowledge that is in line with National Development Agenda. The directorate offers diploma and certificate TVET courses across different schools such as School of Engineering and Technology, Education, Agriculture-environment -water and natural resources, Science and computing, Health sciences, Business and Economics, Humanities and social sciences.
The programs are supported by well-trained academic and administrative staff training facilities including laboratories/workshops, a well-equipped library within a serene learning and training environment. All students who have the right KCSE examination qualifications for TVET programs are encouraged to apply and pursue their career at South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU). Our programs are available online through the governments’ KUCCPS student’s portal or by visiting the Main University Campus at KWA VOZA, or Kitui town Campus and Migwani Technical Training Centre in Mwingi, and Mtito Andei.
